Daisey is a cute 2-1/2 year old female Shepherd who was brought to the HSOV on January 14, 2026 along with her sibling (Tubby) for a heartbreaking reason since their beloved owner was no longer physically able to take care of the girls. Sadly their owner passed away a few days after they were entrusted to us with the hope that we could place them together in another loving home.
Daisey has a tan short-haired coat with black markings on her back, a long tail, and an adorable Shepherd face with tan mask and subtle black shading, a long slender muzzle, and short floppy ears. Daisey's left eye is brown and her right eye is blue which gives her a unique appearance.
Daisey has a sweet disposition though she is understandably rather nervous about finding herself in a large floor crate these days.
We took preliminary photos of Daisey (and Tubby) in their floor crates on January 19th where they felt most comfortable at that time.
These updated photos of Daisey were taken on January 22, 2026 when HSOV Volunteer Miley Kiggans accompanied her for outdoor glamour pictures. Daisey was a little unsure about the paparazzi and this new experience but, with Miley by her side, she had the confidence to face the unknown (i.e., the camera). Daisey surely misses her owner and needs someone to love her again.
Daisey weighs 40 lbs. She doesn't appear have been accustomed to walking on a leash, but she is an intelligent girl who will quickly master that new skill with help from our compassionate HSOV kennel techs and volunteers.
Daisey and Tubby are being listed as a bonded pair since we feel that it is in their best interest to remain together.
Daisey and Tubby will be spayed before being adopted by their new family (a requirement for HSOV adoptions to be finalized). They could be fostered while they await their spay procedures so that they could enjoy a real home environment again.
Please complete an HSOV foster/adoption application and submit for approval if you would like to foster/adopt these sweet Shepherd girls.
