Hi! Were Krampus and Kringle. We originally entered the shelter in December if you couldnt tell by our names. These nice people saw us one day and think that were probably Aussiedoodles based on our coats and personalities. We are 4 years old and as bonded as can be - meaning we need to be adopted together. We were found stray and after a 5 day stray hold, no one came forward to claim us. Lets get into some proper introductions now - Im Krampus and Im the brother with no tail at all. Volunteers say that Im the emotional support brother for Kringle, and I agree with them. Im definitely the more independent of the two of us and can usually be seen leading while were out on walks during events. Dont let that mistake you for being cold though, I love my people just as much as my brother, especially when it comes to lounge time. I also dont like being separated from my brother. I can be opinionated, but Im slowly understanding everything youre asking me. Im Kringle and I'm the brother with the little nub for a tail. Im the more sensitive one between my brother and me. I prefer to follow his lead in the world around us and LOVE getting attention from people. I love my treats and Im very eager-to-please when it comes to learning new behaviors. Im slowly learning how to be more confident, however I need someone to guide me on how to succeed. I dont like being separated from my brother but thats okay because the shelter said we can stay together! Both of us know how to sit and are currently working on our leash manners. We recently learned that harnesses are really nice to walk on and make it easier to take both of us out at once. Weve attended multiple adoption events with our rescue and neither of us has shown reactivity towards the other dogs there, even when theyre barking at us. We dont quite know how wed do with cats but didnt show any negative signs on our original cat test. Kids would be okay with us, as long as they understand we are a bit anxious when it comes to new settings and will take us some time to settle in - we are gentle boys! Once out of the shelter environment we will be able to decompress and settle into our new home and we will become a lot more confident! We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Please visit our website www.grandrivershumane.org to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our upcoming adoption event locations.
