Meet Zara!
Adult Female Belgian Malinois

Zara was found as a stray and is ready for a fresh start with the right home. She’s a sweet Malinois girl who needs someone who understands the breed and is excited to help her continue learning. She is currently being fostered by a professional dog trainer, which has given her a great foundation.
About Zara:
• Appears dog selective but not aggressive — slow, proper introductions with a male dog may work
(No other females recommended unless the adopter is very experienced with dog introductions)
• Crate trained, but requires a heavy-duty kennel (Ruffland, Dakota, KBC, or similar — no wire or flimsy plastic crates)
• Loves chew toys and is still learning how to play with toys and tug
• Food motivated and eager to learn
• Social with people but under-socialized — she loves attention and will happily jump up to be held
• Clacks her teeth (very common in Malinois and not aggression)
• Lower drive for a Malinois, but still displays typical Malinois behaviors
Ideal Home:
Zara would thrive in a dog-savvy home with someone looking for a “light project dog.” She does not need — and is not recommended for — a sport home, but she does need structure, boundaries, and a commitment to meeting a Malinois’ needs through training, enrichment, and routine.
She’s sweet, a little quirky, and full of potential for the right person.

Euclid Pet Pals is the volunteer organization whose members care for the animals at the Euclid Animal Shelter, in Euclid, Ohio. We raise funds by offering personal and business memberships and cage sponsorships. Other fundraisers include a Bark-B-Q in May, a Clam Jam in October, and car washes in July. The money we raise is used to pay for veterinary care and medications, necessary supplies, and spay/neuters. We are dedicated to providing a healthy, loving environment for animals waiting to be adopted.
