Hammy was brought in by their previous owner on January 8th.

Why Hammy is the one for you:
Hammy is a sweet, sensitive cat with a gentle heart who does best in a calm, understanding home. Though shy and nervous at first, he finds comfort and confidence when he has another friendly cat by his side, making a feline companion a wonderful match for him. A quiet household without dogs or young children allows Hammy to relax and truly be himself. With patience and love, his soft personality blossoms into a peaceful, affectionate presence that brings warmth and quiet joy to the home.

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.
