Meet the Pet
This helps Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue with pet care costs.
Lucy Honeychurch is as sweet as her name suggests. But somehow she ended up outside being fed by a sweet woman who called out for help when saw she was swollen huge in pregnancy in November, right before a storm. Not a good situation to be in! Fortunately for her, she was able to be scooped up just in time to have her five lucky kittens inside. Lucy, always a love, did exactly what she was supposed to do and has spent the last couple months taking exceptional care of them. Lucy always put them first - they could have the lap for cuddles, the best toys to play with, whatever they needed. She was always close by, snoozing next to you, just being happy the babies were getting what they needed. Now the babies are heading off to forever families and Lucy is left. Lucy's namesake, Lucy Honeychurch, struggled between her passion, what she wanted to do, vs. what she felt like she was supposed to do. Our smart, young Lucy has never had that struggle - she's loved what she's supposed to do (being a fabulous mother) - but never had the chance to find her passion, find what she really wants. Sweet Lucy wants a forever family! She wants a chance to act as young as she is, a family to play with, a family to cuddle with, a chance to be the center of attention. Lucy is curious about other cats & dogs, and would likely do well with them and / or a family with respectful children.
You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page: Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue
You can see pictures and videos of nearly every day of her time in foster care in her "A Room With A View" photo album on the facebook page.
All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
