My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

6 yo Choc mini poodle male

Hello! My name is Gus Gus. You know, the pint size, lovable and loyal mouse with a big appetite (for cheese!), on Cinderella!? Yes, yes that one.    I am a 6-year-old, male (neutered) and around 12 pounds of couch potato cuddle-bug. A mini poodle is what I’ve heard. When I’m not perfecting my snuggle game, I love to follow my human around, making sure they never feel lonely and that I don’t miss an opportunity for cheese! My foster Mom says she has a lot to say about me!   Gus Gus is the Websters Dictionary definition of an absolute sweetheart. His warm eyes have the gentlest feeling behind them, and he is a very happy guy with the sweetest soul. Gus Gus gets along great with other dogs and kids, but due to his sensitive and calm nature he would be best suited with older children who can respect and understand his sensitive side. He has shown love and affection to all household members but has proven himself to be a dog who will have their preferred person. Wiggly but greetings and smiles for all, even the spare humans, but his loyalty, security and affection is primarily reserved for one.   Expectations of the chosen one include but are not limited to, being followed EVERYWHERE, with complete lack of spatial awareness. You need to use the restroom, cool, he’ll sit right at your leg. Shower, no problem, his front paws will be on the ledge of your bathtub making sure you are safe. If you even think about cheese for any reason, it must be produced for consumption immediately.   Gus Gus is crate trained and has no issues with this, although he is also a well-behaved gentleman when not in the crate. He is currently being potty trained and doing so well, so we have no doubts about his on-going success with this.   Gus Gus is still learning about the life he has deserved all along but has proven to be very adaptable. Just one look into his eyes, anyone can feel the gratefulness he expresses for being rescued. If you are ready to find your new best friend, to share cheese, couch space, short walks and never have any personal space, Gus Gus cannot wait to become your new shadow and forever best friend!   Apply to adopt Gus Gus at:
