Cory’s story begins with love… and an unexpected goodbye.
We received a sad call when Cory’s beloved human passed away. She was the only person he knew for the first 9 years of his life. Her friends reached out to Purrfect Friends, and of course, we welcomed Cory back with open arms.
Cory is a quiet, gentle boy who is still adjusting to big changes. He’s friendly and enjoys being near his people — often following you from room to room — but he’s not quite a lap cat yet. With patience and slow movements, he’s happy to be picked up, and he continues to grow more comfortable every day.
He’s an easy companion: Cory doesn’t meow for food (he waits politely), doesn’t cry if he can’t sleep in the bedroom, and is completely litter box perfect. He’s curious and confident indoors, having explored every corner of his foster home, yet he shows no interest in darting out the door. Cory has always lived indoors and prefers it that way.
At about 10–11 pounds, Cory has pristine, well-groomed fur and looks much younger than his years. He sleeps with his people, keeps himself tidy, and would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can form another deep bond — just like the one he lost.
Poor Cory has lost his forever human… could you be his next one?
Born around July 2016.
He was likely born July of 2016. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for fiv/felv. Adoption fee $60. Fill out our application at https://www.pfcatrescue.org/adoption-application/
