Meet Root — A Thoughtful, Easygoing Cat Seeking a Forever Home (Bonded with Harry)
Root is a calm, observant cat who was adopted in Washington State in 2017 at around 14 weeks old alongside his brother, Harry. Root has always been an indoor-only kitty and is happiest spending quiet time stretched out in a sunny window or relaxing in a favorite spot where the household can be watched from a comfortable distance.
Root enjoys playtime in a more relaxed way and is especially fond of batting around ping pong balls when the mood strikes. Like he brother, he does not enjoy being chased. Neat and well-mannered, Root learned to use the litter box early and takes pride in keeping personal spaces clean and orderly.
A predictable routine suits Root well since he tends to be shy when faced with new environments or unfamiliar situations, but once settled, he can quickly become friendly and affectionate. Due to this, Root does best in a home that allows space to warm up at a comfortable pace. His current routine includes dry kibble during the day and wet food for dinner.
Root gets along well with dogs and is comfortable with older children who understand how to interact respectfully with a reserved cat. Root shares a strong bond with Harry, and the two provide comfort and companionship to one another. They are looking for a forever home where they can stay together and continue their close partnership.
Root is ready to find a peaceful, loving home alongside Harry—one that values gentle personalities, steady routines, and the quiet joy of feline companionship. If you're interested in meeting Root and Harry, please contact Cary at (380) 209-5584.
