My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ell is a gentle, thoughtful girl who does well with her two littermates and is still learning to trust her foster mom. She’s a bit hesitant with new situations, especially with a resident senior cat who doesn’t exactly roll out the welcome mat, but with a slow, patient approach, she allows petting. She doesn’t enjoy being picked up, but she will occasionally hop into a lap for a few pets, especially if her littermates are already there.

One of Ell’s favorite bonding moments is crawling on her foster mom when she’s lying on the floor, something she started doing on her very first day. While she can be shy, she’s full of surprises: during her first meeting with a stranger, Ell was the first to engage in play, happily chasing a rawhide shoelace. She also enjoys wand toys, rolling balls, and “capturing” small cloth mice or plastic springs.

Ell is an interested observer, always watching what’s going on before deciding whether to join in. She loves playing with her siblings and is an agile, entertaining acrobat on the three-tier cat tree.

Ell will do best in a calm home with an individual or family willing to offer patience and let her build confidence at her own pace. A friendly sibling, cat, or possibly even a calm dog could help her adjust. With time and understanding, Ell will blossom into a wonderful companion.

Adopting from HEA

FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS:
Adoption is a huge deal to us. We make a lifetime guarantee to our companions. In return, we’re asking you to provide a lifetime commitment once you’ve invited a pet to join your family. We’re excited that you're considering adoption. We look forward to working with you to find the right match!

TIMELINE:
Our primary objective is to assure the correct match for the people and the pets that we’re sending to their forever homes. Our goal is to send dogs and cats home as quickly as we can, while still being thorough. Processing times will vary and are largely dependent on our ability to connect with your references, landlord, and veterinarian. To keep the process moving along, please make sure you’ve done your part:
1) Fill out your application completely - missing information slows down the process.
2) Let your references know to expect our call.
3) If you rent, let your landlord know to expect our call.
4) If you currently have pets, ask your veterinarian to be prepared to release your records.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE:
We make a pact with every animal that enters our care: They’re promised a loving home for the rest of their life. In turn, when you make the commitment to adopt, we ask you to make a lifetime commitment. We believe family is forever.
