Sammy (aka Yoda) was rescued from the shelter in July 2025. He spent 5 months in foster care and is now in a second foster home. He likes pets and is OK with dogs, but is territorial around other cats, so a home where he is the only cat would be best. A former owner declawed him, so he needs to live indoors or have a protected catio if let outside. He has a sweet meow and is relatively quiet. He likes to play with string toys and loves to nap in his heated bed. He is a small fellow, only about 7 lbs. He takes a while to warm up, but is snuggly when he finally feels safe. We have not found a wet food that he likes, so he is a kibble kitty at this point. He would love to be your one and only, so please contact us to meet him! $0 adoption fee. He is currently in Carmel Mountain Ranch (just South of Rancho Bernardo).
