Cooper is a fun, happy medium energy herding dog mix (probably Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog) who gets along GREAT with other dogs, loves attention and being petted, fetches balls happily and self-plays with toys. He is a quiet boy and not destructive of anything, does well with his house training (although he is not perfect yet), walks nicely on lead and would do well with children over 8. When nothing is happening, he gladly lays down by your side and sleeps (dreaming of his next adventure!). He is interested in cats, but not predatory. He just likes to chase things for the fun of running, so he should be able to be trained to leave them be. Overall, a wonderful dog for an active family with or without another dog!
If you would like to meet Cooper, please call Jennifer at 530-780-2377 or email HPHS@Ymail.com and tell Jennifer a little about yourself and your household. Although he has never tried to escape his foster home's fenced yard, he does like to explore when given the opportunity, so adopters need to have at least a five food high fenced yard. Cooper's adoption fee is $180.
