My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Vanda, she learned to trust again in her foster home.

Vanda’s story is one of love and loss. She was deeply bonded to her person, but when he passed away suddenly, she found herself back in our care. Understandably, she was spicy and confused about why her world has changed so drastically. But beneath that fiery exterior was a cat who simply missed her best friend. Our amazing fosters, Claire & John brought her to her home to see if she would blossom out of the shelter. And boy did she blossom!

In foster, Vanda showed just how sweet and social she really is as an only kitty. She loved curling up on the couch beside her humans, happily settling into their laps for companionship and comfort. She followed her foster family around the house, meowing softly for attention and soaking up every bit of affection offered. Her foster described her as a “lovely cat”—calm, gentle, and deeply connected to her people.

Vanda thrives as the only pet and is looking for a one-cat household where she can feel safe and adored. She has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a loyal, affectionate friend by their side.

Her journey is a reminder that grief touches animals too. Vanda deserves someone who sees past her spice and recognizes the loyal, loving cat waiting to shine again. If you’re looking for a sweet, people-oriented cat who will fill your home with warmth, Vanda may be the perfect match. Ask about our Foster to Adopt Program!
