Hi, I’m Pippin! I’m a spunky, playful guy with a big heart—and when playtime’s over, I’m all about the cuddles. My absolute favorite game is fetch, especially if squeaky toys are involved. I’ll sprint from one end of the house to the other, wear myself out in the best way, then settle down with a chew toy before officially transforming into a lap dog.
I’ve got gorgeous brindle coloring with a little white spot on my chest, and my coat is ridiculously soft—like a velvety puppy coat, even though I’m fully grown at a perfect 30 pounds.
I’m a loyal companion through and through. Wherever my humans go, I’m right there behind them. I need to know what’s happening at all times (serious FOMO over here). There are toys to play with and adventures to be had, and I don’t want to miss a single second.
I live with two resident cats and we get along pretty well. It took me a bit to learn the rules, and I might still try a playful chase now and then—but they’re the boss, and I respect that. In the evenings, we often all end up chilling together…unless, of course, I’m already parked on a human’s lap.
I’m house trained and even ring a string of bells at the door when I need to go outside (pretty impressive, right?). I sleep quietly in my crate at night in the same room as my people—but if I had my way, I’d definitely be snuggled up on the bed instead.
If you’re looking for a fun, loyal, toy-loving shadow who doubles as a cuddle buddy, I just might be your guy.
Pippin is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page.
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
