My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Percy - Our Majestic Gentle Giant 🐾🤍
Big heart. Big presence. Big dreams of finding his forever.
Hi, I'm Percy - a proud Great Pyrenees with a heart as grand as the mountains my breed was made for. At just 2 years old, I've already lived a journey worthy of a storybook.
My adventure here began one year ago, when I first arrived - neglected, matted, scared, and very much a shell of myself. The amazing team took me in, cleaned me up (yes... they shaved me... and a shaved Pyr is something we all had to laugh about), and helped me discover safety, confidence, and comfort for the first time.
With time, patience, and love, I blossomed. And soon, I found what everyone thought was my dream home - a beautiful property in the Cache Creek area, acres of space, and people who adored me. For nine wonderful months, I was cherished. But then life shifted. My loving parents became ill, and despite trying everything to keep me, they made the most selfless decision imaginable: they brought me back to the place where my journey first began, so I could have the chance at the life they could no longer give.
So here I am again - healthy, healed, fluffy (tehehe) - and ready to start the next chapter.
🏔️ Who I Am
I am gentle, observant, thoughtful, and deeply bonded to other dogs. I thrive with a confident canine companion who can show me the ropes - ideally a large-breed, livestock-guardian-type dog who understands my language and energy. Humans? I warm up slowly, but once I trust you, I am loyal for life.
🌲 What I Need
To continue growing into the best version of myself, I need:

*A large, securely fenced property (acres preferred!)
*Another dog of similar size and temperament - an LGD‑type friend
*A calm, patient environment with people who understand my breed
*Compassion, routine, and room to roam
*A home not in the city - I am far too majestic for urban life

I'm not a demanding dog - I'm a quiet, steady, soulful presence. Give me space, companionship, and understanding, and I will give you unwavering loyalty in return.
💙 Ready for Forever
My journey hasn't been simple, but it has shaped me into the resilient, gentle giant I am today. I'm ready - truly ready - to find my forever family. Someone with land, love, and a big dog waiting to welcome me home.
If you have the heart and the home for a majestic boy like me...
I might be the perfect fit.
Let's start our new chapter together. 🐾❤️
