If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We fostered and then adopted Benny when he was 6 weeks old. We aren’t sure what breed he is, but he looks like an Australian Shepherd mix.
He is a cuddle bug and has tons of energy. He would be a great fit for someone really active who can take him on walks/runs frequently.
He is house trained and does not have any accidents inside.
He has some resource guarding tendencies with food/water and his sleep space.
He is reactive and has anxiety. When he feels scared or threatened he has nipped/bit in the past(mostly surrounding his food area or if he is startled out of a sleep.
He is almost 7 years old, but still has the energy that he had as a puppy.
Due to his reactive nature, he would not be a good fit around young children. He has been good around other animals in the past, but it has been several years since he has been around other animals, so I’m not sure how he would be now. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
