My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Vinny! I’m available for adoption! Please read the questions and answers below to learn more about me. If I sound like a good fit, come out to Greenhill Humane Society to meet me!

Do you like other cats? I have not lived with other cats, but I may do well with another cat after a slow introduction period.

What do you think about living with a dog? I have never been around dogs, but I my do well with a cat-savvy dog after a slow introduction period.

How do you feel about kids? I lived with young children in my previous home and we got along most of the time. I can get a little grumpy and will react negatively if kids bother me too much or pull on my tail. As long as kids treat me with kindness and respect my boundaries then we should be ok! I would like to meet any kids from my future family before I go home with them. I would do best in a home with older, cat-savvy kids or teens.

What was your previous home like? I was an indoor only kitty.

What’s your ideal home like? I would like to live in a home that has lots of space for me to be a big rambunctious kitten and a family who will give me lots of attention and play time. I may look grown up, but I`m still young and need lots of stimulation.

Is there anything else we should know about you? I like to play fetch and I have extra toes! Please ask staff about my medical release.

More about this shelter

Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944. We operate the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. Our programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and other crisis situations; spay/neuter for free roaming, un-owned community cats; a pet pantry; on-site volunteer opportunities; foster care and humane education.

Last year, we helped reunite or find new loving homes for 2,826 animals. In addition, we provided 469 cat spay/neuter surgeries to assist cat caregivers in reducing feral cat over-population.

Greenhill is a private non-profit and relies on donations for a majority of its budget. The generosity of our local community enables us to provide a high level of care to lost, abandoned, and neglected animals while at the same time helping pet owners in need.
