My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hewitt!

Hewitt is a handsome, sweet-natured puppy with a wonderful balance of playful energy and calm companionship. He is confident, curious, and always eager to explore his surroundings, especially when toys are involved. Hewitt enjoys playing with other dogs and happily entertains himself, but he truly shines when spending one-on-one time with his people.

While he loves his toys, Hewitt will gladly set them aside for affection, cuddles, and quality bonding time. He has that perfect puppy charm—fun-loving and energetic, yet content to relax and enjoy quieter moments with his person.

Hewitt is doing incredibly well with potty training and is nearly fully trained, making his transition into a forever home even smoother. He is ready to give his whole heart to a loving family or individual who will continue to help him grow and thrive.

If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate companion with a big heart and a bright future, Hewitt may be the perfect addition to your family.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required for dogs. However, because it stresses cats to be confined and transported with dogs long distances, we do not transport our cats. They are local to Texas only. Thank you.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
