Meet Mallory! She had been dumped in German Village as an 7-8 month old kitten and was rescued before it got incredibly hot outside in June. Mallory is a sweet and incredibly smart tortie who loves people and cats alike. She is a cuddle bug in the making, wanting to sleep near (and sometimes on) her favorite people. She knows her name and will greet you with a trill when you enter the room or come home. She will also follow you around the house as your personal second shadow. While she’s not food motivated, she just wants to be a good girl and love on you, so she’s usually not up to too much mischief. Some of her favorite toys include springs and automatic wands, but most of all, she LOVES bouncy balls with tails and will play with them for hours, dropping them down stairs or bringing it to the tub to bat/bounce around. She loves her window time and spying on the outside. She enjoys accompanying you to the toilet and watching the water fill back up in the bowl - she’s been known to run to the bathroom when she hears the toilet flush!

Mallory gets along well with other cats, but prefers kitties with a more laid back personality. She is incredibly sweet and lacks the usual spicy “tortitude” but definitely has the opinionated tortitude attitude. She is a confident kitty who knows what she wants in the world!

Mallory is ready for adoption and has had all her vaccines/boosters and has been spayed/microchipped. She has lots of love to give and is excited to meet her new parents!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of our adoptable pets are in a foster home, and for that reason an application must be submitted before a meeting can be arranged. Filling out an application does not obligate you to adopt it simply tells us a little about you and the type of home you have to offer a new pet.

As a rescue it is our goal to carefully go over your application to be assured that it is a perfect fit for both the pet and you and/or your family. Our foster homes are able to easily evaluate each pet to quickly find out their likes and dislikes which is vital information to a successful adoption.

More about this rescue

Our goal is to do what we can to put an end to careless breeding that over populated the streets and local shelters. Sometimes we come across a pet that has "special needs" and our goal is to educate the public that "special needs" dogs are capable of doing anything you wish as long as you provide the proper training and have the patience needed to coincide with the training. Our inspiration her name is Dhalia and she is a lethal white Australian shepherd that is a result of merle to merle breeding. Sadly 25% of puppies born with this genetic make-up are predisposed to sight and/or hearing deficiencies. Speak! for the Unspoken has successfully fostered, rehabilitates and re-homed many animals both "normal" and "special needs"
