My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Barrett. He's a 7 year old purebred German Shorthaired Pointer. We got him as a puppy from an Amish farm in Lancaster, PA. He was an outside pup living on a farm and before he turned a year old he was hit by a farm vehicle. He broke his arm and we believe he had a concussion. We had his arm repaired so he could still point/hunt, so he does have pins in his left, front arm. We have kept his as an outside dog for all of his life, unless it gets too cold or too hot. However, he is not well potty trained for indoors. He enjoys being outside, he will chase after any critter or deer though. We used an under ground wire fence for him, which worked well most of the time. He will chase cats but doesn't seem like he wants to eat them. He's a bit food aggressive around other animals and kids, but hasn't bit anyone. He loves to go on hikes with us and is a good dog but needs training if indoors. He would love a big place where he can run and bring all his energy!
