Meet Maryland - a gentle soul learning that kindness is real.
Maryland is a male terrier mix, likely a young adult, weighing around 30 lbs. He found himself on the euthanasia list at animal control, and when I met him, it was clear he deserved so much more time — and a chance to feel safe.
Maryland is nervous but hopeful, the kind of dog who wants to trust and is already trying so hard. Even through his uncertainty, he greets people with tail wags and soft nose boops, quietly asking for reassurance and connection. Those small gestures say everything about the loving heart hiding just beneath the surface.
