My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peace: A Gentle Soul Seeking Her Forever Home

Thank you for your interest in adopting Peace!

Peace is an international rescue who resides in Taiwan. While "international adoption" might sound like a major undertaking, we have years of experience streamlining this process to make it as smooth as possible. We’ll be right by your side to explain every step!

The Journey Home
Once your application is approved, the final step of Peace’s journey begins. Adopters are responsible for picking her up directly from a major international airport.

Common arrival hubs include:
West Coast: SFO, SEA, LAX, YVR
East Coast & Central: JFK, IAH

About Peace
True to her name, Peace is the embodiment of tranquility and sweetness.

She is a Formosan Mountain Dog (FMD) mix, a breed known for loyalty and intelligence. While FMDs are typically medium-to-large, Peace is a rare and "perfect" exception—she sits on the smaller side, making her an ideal fit for various living situations. While her exact DNA remains a mystery, we are 100% certain of two things: she is the perfect size and possesses an even more perfect temperament.

If you are looking for a calm, loving companion to bring a little more harmony into your life, Peace is waiting for you.

Her Story: From Despair to Hope
Peace’s early life was defined by hardship. While we don’t know if she ever truly had a home, it is clear she survived on the streets for a long time. Her journey toward a better life began on a day that looked like it might be her last: she was found collapsed near a gas station, motionless, with breathing so shallow it was barely noticeable.
A kind passerby posted her location on social media, hoping for a miracle. A local rescuer rushed to the scene and discovered that Peace had been the victim of a hit-and-run. Though someone had moved her away from traffic, she had been lying there for hours, paralyzed by pain.

At the veterinary hospital, Peace was diagnosed with a fractured front leg. She underwent major surgery and spent five days in intensive care. It was during this recovery that her true spirit shined through. Despite the pain of daily bandage changes and post-op care, Peace never once resisted. She simply lay there patiently, wagging her tail at every person she saw—already eager to give the love she had never received.

Life in Foster Care
Since moving into her foster home, Peace has proven to be an absolute dream. She is a social butterfly who gets along famously with other dogs and cats. She is respectful and friendly toward men, women, and children alike. Additionally, she is 100% outdoor potty trained and has never had a single accident indoors.

Health & Care Notes
The "Lucky" Leg: Peace has a surgical pin in her left front leg. The vet has confirmed that this does not need to be removed and will not affect her quality of life. She runs, jumps, and plays just like any other happy, healthy dog!
Dietary Needs: Due to her time scavenging on the streets, Peace has a sensitive stomach. While she is generally healthy, she may experience minor digestive upset (soft stools) during her transition to a new climate or during drastic weather changes. A consistent, high-quality diet will help her stay at her best.

The "100-Point" Girl
Peace survived a hit-and-run, a painful fracture, and hours of waiting alone for a rescue that almost didn't come. Now that she is healthy and vibrant, we are looking for a forever home that will cherish her. Peace is truly what we call a "100-point girl"—she is resilient, loving, and ready to light up the world of one very lucky family.

We will have adoption events twice a month at different pet store, or come meet our pet at our foster home. We have two different foster homes located in CA/WA/OR area.

More about this rescue

We are a small group of pet rescuers in CA and WA/OR from Taiwan.
We rescue dogs and cats that needs help around us.
Save a life don't need a reason, it's just a beautiful things that everyone should do.
Seeing those once starved,
maltreated and homeless dogs transforming into confident, lively fur babies is what propels us. Finding a loving, forever home for the rescued dogs has been our ultimate goal.
---
For over 10 years, our foundation has been providing rescue dogs for international adoption to families in cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Vancouver. After the application and approval process, we fly the dogs with volunteers to the desired destination for the completion of your adoption.

Formosa Mountain Dog (FMD) is a type of Taiwanese mixed breed. Most of it is Labrador or shepherd and Taiwan dog mixd breed. The rescues are usually abandoned, abused, and/or without a home. We take them in, provide them with a complete health check up, and spay and neuter as needed. Their information is then posted on our websites and social media, ready to be adopted.

You will see that most of our dogs are still in Taiwan. Only a few are local. The process of adoption takes careful consideration of the application and understanding of the environment to which we will send the adoptees. Currently, we do not have enough foster homes for an intermediary home, so we have to make sure there is a home for the rescues before we send them overseas.

As the dogs await their forever homes, we will continuously update their growth through photos and videos. This helps to provide the adopting families with more understanding of the temperament of the dogs to be ready for their adoption. Finally, after 14 hours of air travel, with the aid of our volunteers, the adopting family (you) will just need to arrive at the airport to meet your new family member!
