My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nutmeg — the softest little gentleman.

Through no fault of their own, Nutmeg and his siblings found themselves in a rural shelter and on the euthanasia list at just six weeks old, without their mom. Luckily, they were rescued in time, and from that moment on, Nutmeg decided that gratitude would be his entire personality.

Nutmeg did need a minute to trust humans at first (fair enough), but once he realized that humans equal pets, treats, toys, and warm beds, there was absolutely no going back. Now he’s the sweetest, most gentle soul in the litter, with the tiniest, cutest little meow that he uses very intentionally when he wants your attention.

This boy is a professional greeter. He’ll rub against your legs, weave between them like he’s choreographing a dance, and strut around with his tail held high like a fuzzy exclamation point. If he wants to be picked up, he’ll politely meow at you until you understand the assignment. He adores being held and petted, and when he’s really feeling the love, he’ll even give you little kisses back.

Nutmeg is curious and observant, always quietly taking in what’s going on around him. He loves sleeping in bed with you and is hilarious about it, fully stretched out, upside down, dramatic poses included, as if he pays rent and owns the place.

Nutmeg loves catnip. Like… loves it. The moment catnip appears, this gentle, polite boy instantly transforms into a full-on silly goose. Rolling, flopping, wiggling, zooming, striking ridiculous poses, he commits completely.

He’s also a smart cookie who crushes food puzzles, and he loves feather toys, fluffy mice, springs, and interactive play. He’s friendly with all cats and is especially bonded with his siblings and foster buddies Mercedes, Dian, and Hope.

Nutmeg may take a moment to feel safe — but once he does, he shows you his whole heart. He’s affectionate, goofy, gentle, and endlessly loving. A kitten who will make you laugh daily, sleep beside you nightly, and quietly steal your heart forever.

If you’re looking for a kitten who is equal parts cuddle bug, goofball, and tiny gentleman, Nutmeg is ready to be your new best friend.

Nutmeg is 5 months old as of Jan 26. He is fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and flea-free. They tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Nutmeg is still a kitten and must be adopted with one of his foster buddies or into a home with another kitten or playful young cat. Here is some information about why we have this policy:

A pair from the same litter is discounted $25 from each adoption fee.
