My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Please read Tucker Loyal's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!**

Meet Tucker Loyal - an 8 month old, Lab mix, who weighs 45 pounds (as of 1/10/26)! Tucker was part of our LOYAL pups who were found as strays in Tennessee. He was adopted here in New England and was only with his adopters for a few short days before their landlord switched things up on them. Unfortunately his owner is no longer able to keep him, but Tucker won't give up hope!

Tucker is the sweetest dog who loves to play and go for walks, but if you're the type whose love language is physical touch, Tucker is more than happy to cuddle in your lap as well! Tucker's previous home described him as "very smart and super trainable" so while he only knows commands like "Sit" and "Paw," Tucker can't wait to train and learn more with his next family!

Tucker would be great in an active family that enjoys going outside as he loves the great outdoors. Bonus points if you have a fenced in yard where he can run to his heart's content! When it comes to other dogs, Tucker will excitedly say "hi" to his fellow dogs and move closer to harmonize with them on walks, but when it comes to life in his future home, he prefers to go solo.

Tucker does well in a crate, but will need some understanding and patience from his future family as he masters the potty train express (he's still a young boy after all) But since he's so smart, he hopes to master that in no time!

If you're ready to add a rockstar to your home, Tucker is the boy for you!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Tucker Loyal, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] **

THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE OF OUR KENNEL IN WOBURN, MA. ONCE A POTENTIAL ADOPTER IS MATCHED WITH A DOG AND GOES THROUGH OUR REFERENCE AND INTERVIEW PROCESS WITH AN ADOPTION COORDINATOR THIS DOG WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO MEET BEFORE ADOPTION. IT IS OUR GOAL TO GET ALL LOCAL DOGS TO THEIR FOREVER FAMILIES WITHIN 7 DAYS ONCE MATCHED.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.

Go meet their pets

As a shelterless rescue, we don’t have a building where our dogs are housed until they get adopted. We are lucky enough to have loving families who open their hearts and homes to our dogs until they are placed, but we need more foster homes so we can save more dogs. We frequently hold meet & greet events where the public can meet our furry freinds. Please check our website to stay tuned with our upcoming events,

More about this rescue

Great Dog Rescue New England (GDRNE) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit, shelterless, all-breed rescue group headquartered in Massachusetts. Our group is comprised of volunteers all over New England who love dogs and want to help those that end up homeless through no fault of their own. Loyal and loving dogs turn up every day in New England and Southern shelters, as owners turn them in or they’re found roaming the streets after being dumped. To the best of our abilities, we evaluate all of our Great Dogs’ temperament and suitability for living with other dogs, cats, and children. A dog’s health is checked, and we make sure they are up-to-date on all shots and are spayed or neutered. Then, we place them in loving foster homes until they find their very own family. Our goal is to meet the needs of each dog as an individual and to assure proper placement in a loving forever home.

Since September 2003, we have placed more than 3000 homeless and abandoned dogs in loving forever homes in the New England area. Every month, dozens of our Southern Great Dogs ride the transport north to their new forever and foster homes. The transport, which is licensed by the USDA, drives up as often as needed and arrives at our isolation facility in Harvard, MA. Our forever families and foster homes pick up their new dogs after the dogs receive a vet check and are quarentined for at least 48 hours per state regulations.

Often times our Southern adoptions are long-distance and we facilitate these adoptions by the transfer of pictures and information about the dog, and we arrange to have the adopter speak to a dog’s foster parents. When a dog is in a New England foster home, we are more than happy to arrange a pre-adoption meeting!
