Kaya is a 15-pound puppy born around November 18 and is likely a Great Pyrenees mix, so she’s expected to grow into a lovely, medium-large dog. She already has the gentle, soulful personality the breed is known for.
Kaya is a sweet, slightly shy girl who warms up with reassurance and love. She adores curling up in laps and snuggling close to her littermate. She’s affectionate and full of kisses, with a playful, silly side that shines through during her zoomie moments. She’ll happily run a few laps around the room, pounce on her toys, and then settle in for another cozy nap.
She’s curious about her foster home’s resident cat and absolutely loves the resident dog, taking comfort and confidence from her canine friends. Kaya would likely thrive in a home with another friendly dog or with adopters who enjoy nurturing a gentle puppy as she grows.

The adoption fee of $550 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!
*please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.
