My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hardy is a gentle 10-year-old senior who joined Evergreen Pug Rescue after his loving family recognized he needed more medical support than they could provide. Their decision ensured Hardy could receive the care he deserves as he enters his golden years. Hardy has significant vision impairment and is currently on daily eye medications to manage severe dry eye, with comfort and stability as our primary goals. He recently underwent a dental, during which a small lesion was discovered and sent for pathology and were happy to share the results came back all clear. With his medical needs now better understood, Hardy is settling into foster care and showing just how special senior pugs are: calm, affectionate, and deeply devoted companions. Once fully cleared, Hardy will be ready for a loving home that appreciates quiet moments, gentle routines, and lots of cozy snuggles. Additional adoption info

At Evergreen Pug Rescue, our process is simple and focused on finding the best match for both the pug and their future family. As dogs become available, our adoption team carefully reviews applications with the goal of making the ideal rescue match. We consider each dog’s unique background—personality, temperament, energy level, comfort with kids and other pets, medical needs, and more—as well as your family’s lifestyle and needs. We pride ourselves on thoughtful placements to ensure that every pug finds their perfect forever home.

We're 100% foster-based so there's not a central area to come see our pups but we're so excited to connect with you!

More about this rescue

Evergreen Pug Rescue
was founded with one simple purpose - to connect people and pugs in Washington state.
At Evergreen Pug Rescue, we are a passionate group of volunteers united by a shared mission: rescuing pugs in need.

Our team comes from diverse backgrounds, bringing together a wide range of skills and talents to ensure pugs can live their lives with love, comfort, and care.

We take pride in the organization we have built, founded on the belief that the well-being of pugs and the people connected to every part of rescue must come first. Service and compassion lies at the heart of everything we do.

Our goal isn’t to be the biggest pug rescue or a national rescue. Our goal is to be the best pug rescue and give every pug, foster, owner surrender, shelter, adopter, volunteer, veterinarian and business we interact with our very best.

Evergreen Pug Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
