They have been matched with a home,

but not adopted yet.

An Application must be submitted to be considered to adopt.

We do not do first applied, but best match for each individual animal.

Adoption fees are Money Order or Cash only.

Please check with your Building Manager or HOA for breed, weight restrictions. We do check.

All puppies and adult dogs have been micro-chipped, vaccinated, and treated for; fleas, ticks, worms and parasites, additional treatments may be needed.

Our puppies 7 months and older as well as our adult dogs will additionally

have been heart-worm tested and neutered.

Our pets are cared for in loving foster homes, most are in the Atlanta Metro Georgia area.

We do not have a facility, but will schedule a place and time for adoptions.

We are not available by phone until you have an approved application to adopt. We are all volunteers and time is very limited.

Please check our Facebook page on Friday to make sure we are having an Event. We do NOT operate a public facility for you to visit.

Transportation NORTHEAST is available for $200 additional fee..

We DO NOT ADOPT in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or New Hampshire.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

We require an extensive application with vet information, home information, landlord (renters), animal care and personal reference.

2.
Approve Application

Processing can take up to 10 business days. We send APPROVAL, APPROVAL-Pet Not Available or DENIAL email. Please look for follow up emails.

Additional adoption info

We process you your application, usually within 7 business days. It can be less, it can be longer.
You are sent an email with information on how to proceed if APPROVED or an DENIAL email if your application is not approved. There can be many reasons for a denial; vet reference, no fence, restriction in HOA rules, proper housing, etc.
We do not disclose why as we want honest answers for our rescue and others.

More about this rescue

East Coast Humane Society takes pets from many sources including, but not limited to owner surrenders, high kill shelters and commercial breeding facilities.
We are not government funded such as Animal Control or Animal Shelters. Our adoption fees cover the costs for all the pets in our rescue.
We are a foster based rescue group. Our pups are in homes and not in a building. We do not have a building for you to come see or meet a puppy. Our volunteer foster families will bring pups to events to be adopted to pre-approved homes.
