3-year-old female long haired Chihuahua about 9 pounds. Brioche is an incredible shy and introverted girl. She takes a long time to warm up but eventually bonds to her favorite female person. She is not a fan of men and keeps her distance from them at all times. She would do fine by herself but she would be ok in a home with a more outgoing dog to help show her how to dog. But not one that will pester her to play and interact. She will need a secure environment, either a solid fenced yard or leash walking only, as she will spook and likely run off if scared. She can easily get over a baby gate or 38". She would not appreciate a busy neighborhood or city living, as many things scare her. She does fine with other dogs, but mostly sticks to herself and will probably ignore a cat. An adult only home is required. To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com

All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Smidget Rescue was founded in December of 2010. We started off saving small dogs off the euthanasia list in California shelters. We have evolved over the years and now concentrate
on local Washington dogs; from local shelters, direct owner surrenders and strays. We have have found homes for over 3000 dogs since inception.
Our mission is to help rehome homeless and unwanted dogs in Washington State by providing the resources to enable proper matchmaking for the dog and the new family. We do not do same day adoptions because our process requires an application process with reference/background and physical home checks. This process ensures we meet the goals of our mission.
