My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Belle — a 7-year-old black and white girl with a sweet heart and a mellow soul. I absolutely love gentle scratches and soaking up all the attention you’re willing to give. I spent the first few years of my life in a loving home, but ended up in the shelter system when I was four. After that, I was adopted and lived in a home for another three years, but sadly, I was returned. Life hasn’t been very fair to me, but I haven’t lost my love for people. I’m a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I’ll happily curl up in your lap. I enjoy peaceful moments, cozy windowsills, and quiet companionship. All I really want now is a safe, loving home where I can finally stay for good. I have lived with dogs, cats and kids. I do ok with kids, but older kids or adults would be best. I do ok with cats, but need very very slow introductions. And I do not so well with dogs. Cats rule, dogs drool.

More about this rescue

Angel of Hope Animal Rescue works with cats and dogs from animal controls and shelters. Prior to adoption pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, cats are tested for feline leukemia, and dogs are tested for heart worm. At adoption we can help you determine if the pet is a good fit for your home and family. We will share their personalities and quirks with you to help you decide.
