Born December 5th 2018, Riot had her back right leg amputated at four months old; her current owner adopted her shortly after the surgery.
Riot is a very sweet girl, but as she’s gotten older, she has begun resource‑guarding toward her brother and attacking him, especially around food and attention. She has never been aggressive towards humans. Not sure how she is living with children, but she has been fine with children who were visiting.
Riot requires a completely dog‑free home and property. This includes no neighbor dogs and no visiting dogs from friends or family. She truly needs to be the only dog in her environment to feel safe and stable.
Riot thrives with space to explore. She needs land where she can run, sniff, and investigate at her own pace. Because she is a tripod, she also needs consistent joint‑support supplements and attentive management to keep her comfortable as she ages.

Once an application is submitted and reviewed you will be contacted via phone or email by one of our volunteers. We will go over your application with you. If your family/home is a good fit for the animal we will have you come meet the animal and if it is a love connection you may adopt and take the animal home that day.

Our focus is on pulling from shelters and taking in local surrenders. Before adoption, all pets in our care will be spayed/neutered, brought up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested (treated if needed), dewormed and given a preventative for internal, intestinal, and external parasites.
