My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Latte is an extremely sweet and affectionate calico with bright yellow eyes. She was found as a stray living behind a pet store, and she was so scared that she wouldn’t approach anyone — but she was so hungry that she walked right into a humane trap within minutes of it being set out. Once she was taken into a home and given time to warm up, her true personality blossomed and it became clear that she was at one time someone’s pet.

Latte loves playing with toys, especially plushies and toys that chirp! Her favorite pastime, however, is curling up on a warm lap and getting pets. She will affectionally bump her head against your hand to ask for attention, and if that doesn’t work, she’ll put her paws on your chest and rub her head under your chin! She is an extremely sweet and loving cat, and she isn’t shy about demanding attention!

The Humane Society of Davie County is a non-profit 501c3 group seeking to make a difference in the lives of animals in Davie County and surrounding areas. The Humane Society obtained tax-exempt status in late 1998 and since then has endeavored to improve conditions for animals at the local animal shelter, raise awareness in the community about the need of spay/neuter of animals, and place numerous previously unwanted animals into loving homes. The Humane Society’s long-term goal is to eliminate the overpopulation of dogs and cats in Davie County.
