Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Honey is a playful adolescent cat who’s brushing up on her social skills in a foster home. She loves interactive play with a wand toy, batting at catnip bubbles, and watching bird videos on Youtube. She absolutely ADORES other cats and gleans confidence from them, so she’ll do best in a home with a feline friend or two. Due to lack of exposure to humans earlier in her kittenhood, she’ll really thrive a compassionate adopter who understands her ongoing need for socialization. Since adjusting to a new home can be challenging for a skittish cat, it will be crucial to confine her to a small, quiet room with a hiding spot such as a cardboard box, along with her food, water, and litter. This accelerates the bonding process, as you will always know where she is. Going into her room at regular intervals and reading aloud, playing with a Cat Dancer, offering treats, etc. will win her over in time. Then, once she’s comfortable enough to approach her person for attention, she should be ready to venture out into the rest of the household. If you’re open to taking on a bit of a project, Honey is your gal. It’s rewarding to celebrate the small victories as you earn her trust, and the relationship that develops between a person and their initially shy cat is often a strong one.
