My name is Russet!

Russet is a shepherd mix who arrived at the shelter at only 2 months old after being found abandoned in a box at the Tempo gas station in Cochin with her brother, Spud. Initially, Russet was very timid and spent much of her time tucked into the back of the kennel, relying on her brother for reassurance. Thanks to gentle handling, patience, and plenty of staff snuggles, Russet has made wonderful progress and is becoming much more comfortable with human interaction. She is an incredibly sweet pup who is learning that affection is a good thing and that the world isn’t quite as scary as it first seemed. Russet is looking for a loving home that will continue nurturing her confidence as she grows into the amazing dog she’s meant to be.
