‘HAIRDO’ THEMED PUPPY: Approx. 2-3 months old / Approx. 12 lbs. & growing
Hi there, I’m Mohawk! I’m one of the adorable Hairdo-themed puppies who came to Mostly Mutts when we were all looking for families of our own. I’m so grateful to be with Mostly Mutts and in a wonderful foster home where I’m learning lots of new things and having a great time. I’m a sweet pup with my whole future ahead of me, and I can’t wait to meet the family who will love me forever!
• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I love my siblings and the other adult dog in my foster home – we enjoy chasing each other and having fun, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / I just met the kitty that lives in my foster home, and I didn't know what to make of her, but I was nice to her and cautiously curious! All kitties are different, so I don’t know how I’d be with another kitty. / I haven’t met kids in my foster home, but my foster thinks I’d do well with them, so if you have gentle kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.
• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I was fun and friendly for the Mostly Mutts photographer, and my foster says I’m 100% sweet. I’m pretty chill most of the day, but from about noon to 5 p.m. I get my big puppy burst of energy and I love playing and even heading out to the backyard a few times to play together during that time. I’m easygoing and not possessive of toys and happy to share. / Energy Level: Currently 4-6.
• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. I’m working on ‘no’, ‘sit and ‘up’ (to get on couch) in my foster home now. / I sleep in my crate at night in my foster’s bedroom, and she sits with me for a few minutes while I settle in and drift off to sleep. When I need to go potty during the night, I’ll cry to let her know. She takes me out of my crate to use a potty pad, and then I go right back to sleep. I’m still just a baby, so my bladder can’t quite last all night yet - but I do a good job waking up and letting my foster know when I need to go. / I’m at the beginning of my potty training so I’ll need my family to potty train me in our yard. So far, I do my best to hit the potty pads in my foster home and they have started taking me outside to potty in the yard and they reward me with a treat when I go.
• LIKES/DISLIKES: I love tennis balls, cuddling, and giving lots of happy kisses. Belly rubs are the best - especially when you find that spot that makes my leg start going! I enjoy chewing on bones, playing tug of war, and like any puppy, I may try to chew just about anything I can find. Chasing the other dog around the yard is also good fun. / I don’t like being left alone or not having eyes on my people, and like any puppy, I wouldn’t be happy without plenty of love, attention, exercise, and training.
• MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I’m also micro-chipped and neutered.
If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
