Afro is a 9 year old gentleman who has spent his life with one loving family and is now looking for a quiet, understanding home to call his own. He comes fully potty trained and already knows what it means to be part of a household. No guesswork needed.
Afro is sweet, shy, and the kind of dog who takes a little time to bloom. Once he feels safe, his favorite thing in the world is a gentle back rub. That is his love language.
He adores children and does wonderfully with them, making him a calm and affectionate companion for a family with kids. Because of past trauma from being bitten, Afro is not comfortable around other dogs or cats and would do best as the only pet in the home. He also pulls on the leash, so he will thrive with someone patient who understands that healing is a journey, not a race.
Afro is not looking for chaos. He is looking for kindness. A peaceful home. A human who sees past his fears and recognizes his loyalty,
