If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Umu is a very sweet and gentle girl, about 2-3 years old, who started life as a stray. Her ears are tipped through a TNR program. I’ve been feeding her for over a year, and seeing that she gets bullied by the other stray cats, I decided to bring her indoors about a month ago.
She gets along with my resident cat and has formed a special bond with my senior dog. You’ll often find her cuddling right next to him, purring nonstop. Umu can be a bit shy and easily spooked at first, but she will open up with time. She’s adjusted beautifully to home life, but unfortunately, I can’t keep her long terms due to landlord issues and hate to put her back out after she’s done so well indoors.
Umu has a very gentle demeanor, is easygoing and low-energy. She loves pets, play sessions, scratches, and especially belly rubs. She would thrive best in a calm household with patient people. She’s good with cat-savvy older children, calm cats, and dogs.
