My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**If you`re interested in meeting, please fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet and we will be in touch to schedule an appointment**

Brewster is a high-energy, joyful dog who loves to play with other pups. His foster calls him the perfect parkour dog; he jumps, bounces, and springs his way around the house with endless enthusiasm. If you’re looking for a fun, athletic companion, he’s your guy.

He’s also been working hard on his manners. Brewster knows sit, down, and wait, and he’s crate trained; so much so that he often crates himself and will happily go in on cue. He loves collecting his favorite things and stashing them in his crate for safekeeping. While he did some marking in foster care and spent time in a diaper, he has since been neutered, and we’re hopeful this will help reduce that behavior as he continues to settle.

Brewster gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys their company, but he is not a match for homes with cats.

After a rough start, Brewster is ready for a fresh chapter with a family who appreciates his zest for life, his goofy athleticism, and his big, resilient heart. He’s eager to learn, eager to love, and eager to bounce his way into his forever home.

Additional adoption info

We've got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt! The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. To reduce the animals' overall stress levels, we have decided to limit animal viewing to those people with appointments for specific animals.

How it works:

1. Check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, fill out that species adoption questionnaire at https://www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet to start the adoption process. Please be sure to include the name of the animal that you are interested in adopting. Questionnaires will only be reviewed if a specific animal is identified. You aren't obligated to adopt that pet, but it's a place to start.

2. Our staff will review your questionnaire and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that it often takes several days before you are contacted. We appreciate your patience! (If it has been longer than one week and you haven’t heard from us, please email us.)

3. Most animals will be available to go home the same day as the adoption meeting.

Adoptions by Appointment
Our shelter is currently closed for general animal viewing, but we’ve still got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt them. To help keep our staff, volunteers and community healthy, we are now providing adoptions by appointment. This enables us to comply with social distancing guidelines while still finding loving homes for the pets in our care.
