My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pretty Tilly!
If love could fit into a tiny body with short little legs and princess feet, it would be Tilly. She is the kind of dog who doesn’t just like affection, she lives for it. Tilly’s greatest joy in life is being close to her person, giving love, soaking up cuddles, and curling herself right into your heart (and your lap).

Check out Tilly’s love for people in her YouTube video:
https://youtu.be/42ERXyC4v4s?si=VuVqu8ozdU2hWEKz

Pretty Tilly is a 2-year-old wire-haired terrier/Yorkie mix, and she is truly the definition of a perfect little companion. She is happiest when she’s right by your side and would be an absolute dream to take everywhere with you, errands, coffee dates, road trips… she’s your tiny shadow and proud of it. A true little “purse dog” with the sweetest soul.

Tilly is very people-focused and truly shines when she can give all her love to her humans. Around other dogs, she tends to be polite and a bit reserved, preferring to do her own thing rather than engage in rough or rowdy play. She can feel intimidated by bigger dogs or overly pushy pups, but she could do well with a calm, low-key small dog or possibly a mellow medium dog who respects her space. That said, Tilly would be absolutely delighted to be an only dog and soak up all the attention for herself.

She did amazing with kids. When she met a five-year-old, Tilly immediately greeted her with happy paws, sweet kiss-kisses, and her signature cuddly affection. She was gentle, loving, and eager to snuggle, just as she is with every human she meets. Tilly is wonderful around kids and would make a beautiful addition to a family.

Tilly would also do wonderfully in an apartment setting. She has a calm, gentle nature, isn’t demanding or chaotic, and she absolutely loves her walks, making her a perfect match for apartment living with daily strolls and lots of love.

She adores walks like, ADORES. The second she knows it’s walk time, her happiness explodes. She trots along with her short legs and tiny feet like the little princess she is, and it’s impossible not to smile watching her. She also has a playful side and still carries some young, joyful energy. She loves toys, gets delightfully wild during playtime, and is just so fun to watch.

One of her cutest quirks? She doesn’t lounge on the couch like other dogs, she prefers to perch herself right on the arm of it, sitting up proudly and watching the world go by. It’s adorable and so very Tilly.

Pretty Tilly is loving, happy, playful, affectionate, and endlessly sweet. She is the kind of dog that makes your days brighter just by being near you. If you’re looking for a tiny best friend to love deeply and bring everywhere with you, Tilly might just be your perfect match. Adopt this perfect baby today!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about creating lasting matches between dog and family for long term success, and take the time to ensure each adoption is a fit through our matchmaking process.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
