Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"How did THIS...turn into THIS!?!" - ask us for the OG baby squash photo to see how absolutely perfect this meme would be to describe his short little life. Squash is a lot of things, but above all, he is the strongest, most tenacious, most incredible kitten with a motivation to live the happiest most independent life he can. The only reason this kitten survived infancy, was his will to live. While Baby Squash does every thing a little different from all other kittens, the spectacular part is that he DOES all the things other kittens do! He can use a litterbox, eat, play, move all over, crawl in your lap, purr, snuggle, and worm his way into your heart. The list of things baby squash can't do is significantly smaller - primarily walk. Don't tell him though, because he has no idea he is any different than any other cat!
Baby Squash would thrive in a home with other cats to play and snuggle with. He ideally needs a home where there is an area of soft carpet flooring for him to call his own. Squash doesn't need a whole house, just a large room (bedroom/living room/floor) will do! He enjoys all sorts of different toys, especially tents and sparkly toys, just as much as he enjoys being snuggled like a baby in your arms for a nap or maybe a movie night on the couch.
Baby Squash was born with a neurological condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia aka wobbly-cat syndrome, which means his brain development was affected by his mom coming in contact with a virus while pregnant. Squash and both of his siblings are all affected to different levels of severity. CH is not contagious, painful, or progressive and causes ataxic or uncoordinated movements.
