This sweet lady is estimated to be about 9 years old and weighs 30 pounds of pure love. Marbles’ journey hasn’t been the easiest as she was found as a stray, completely blind, and had to navigate the streets all on her own. Now that she's here with us she’s taken all the change in stride and is ready to find a home where she can finally relax and feel safe.
Marbles is the kind of girl who loves the simple joys in life: a sunny spot to lounge in, a cozy couch to curl up on, and gentle, loving attention from her favorite humans. She has an atrophied eye that gives her a permanent wink which only adds to her charm! Though she’s completely blind and sometimes bumps into things, she gets around confidently with a little guidance and a watchful eye from her person.
Exercise isn’t her favorite thing to do... why walk when there’s a comfy spot calling your name? That said, she enjoys short strolls and soaking up the sunshine. She is a bit on the heavier side, so her future family will need to help her maintain a healthy weight to keep her healthy and thriving for years to come.
Marbles has a funny little quirk: selective hearing! She might ignore your calls… unless she hears the crinkle of a treat bag. She’s a food lover at heart, and a little bribery goes a long way in winning her trust and affection. Thankfully she loves carrots and cucumbers, so she can still get her treats while shedding the pounds!
This gentle, affectionate girl would thrive in a calm, quiet home with someone patient and attentive and ideally a person with experience with senior or blind dogs, and someone who is around most of the day. She just wants a loving lap to call her own and a steady, safe place to live out her golden years. Marbles is sweet, special, and full of love she just needs the right person to see it. Could that be you? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
