My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Star!

This spunky little dog was named Star because she sparkles with light.
She will gleefully run up to you for attention even if she doesn’t know you. She’s the first to jump on your lap to kiss you on your cheek. You will often see her dancing on the sofa or in the house, full of happiness.
Star is around 6 years old and weighs around 9 pounds. She is not accustomed to being on a leash, so a fenced yard is essential. She goes out for a potty break every few hours, like most small dogs. Star is very gentle and has never growled even once. She is perfect when being groomed and is very easy to care for.
She does great around other dogs. Star had a dental and is current on vaccines and heartworm testing. If you would like to meet Star, please fill out her application here:https://fs8.formsite.com/Caringhearts/form1/index

More about this rescue

Caring Hearts Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Fairfax County that works to rescue abandoned or homeless senior and special needs dogs, rehabilitate them both medically and behaviorally.

Making sure our rescue dogs are healthy from “head to paw,” is our first priority, so any dog entering our rescue receives medical care such as any needed surgeries, spay/neutering, flea and tick removal, dental care, supplements and medications. After receiving any needed medical care, we place our rescues in one of our many volunteer foster homes. All of our rescued dogs are in foster homes in the VA, DC and Maryland area.
