Button is a cute male kitten who was brought to the HSOV on August 7, 2025 along with his four siblings (Enoki, Lion's Mane, Matake and Toadstool) after they were found in Marietta Ohio. The kittens were estimated to have been 8-weeks old at that time.
This little lovebug has a brown tabby short smooth coat, a tiny white tip on the end of his long ringed tail, and an adorable kitten face with golden eyes, a splash of white on his muzzle, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers.
Button was given vaccinations and wormer on August 27, 2025. He was given booster vaccines on September 12th and September 29th.
Button was in foster care for awhile but was returned on December 5th 2025 since the family's dogs were fascinated by Button's litterbox .. nuff said (smile). These photos of Button were taken later in the afternoon when he was relaxing in his large cage in The Jungle Room
Two of Button's littermates (Lion's Mane and Matake) were neutered/spayed and have been adopted. Sadly his brother Toadstool did not survive and passed away on October 10th 2025.
Button is good with other cats and also with children. He is currently enjoying the companionship of a few kittens in a large tower in the lobby of our shelter and is definitely a 'team player'.
Button will be neutered in the near future (tentatively in February 2026) and happily has an approved adoption application .. So he already has a home waiting for him as soon as he is neutered.
