My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Munchkin! 🐾💖
Munchkin is a very cute 5-month-old female kitten with a gentle, sensitive heart. She can be a bit unsure in new situations and needs time to decompress and adjust to changes, but once she feels safe and gets to know you, her sweet personality truly shines. Because of her sensitive nature, Munchkin is looking for a home with NO KIDS, where things are calm, predictable, and patient.

When Munchkin bonds with someone, it’s a true, special bond. She becomes affectionate, loving, and deeply connected to her person, making the wait completely worth it. She enjoys quiet companionship, gentle affection, and building trust at her own pace.

Munchkin would do best with a cat-savvy adopter who understands shy kittens and is willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel secure. In return, she’ll offer loyalty, sweetness, and a meaningful connection that grows stronger every day. Munchkin is ready for a forever home where she can feel safe, understood, and truly loved. 🐱

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
