My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zamboni! This pur-fect, 3 year old tabby male is super affectionate. With chubby cheeks, there`s nothing more he loves then having his cheeks rubbed and his chin scratched. Loving headbutts are assured with this boy following you around the home.

It`s impossible to let Zamboni go unnoticed, if he catches you in his sight he`s going to demand pets while he tells you about his long, difficult day of napping, chasing toys, snacking and more napping. Zamboni truely is a sweet boy to consider adding to your home. If you need a loving constant in your home with plenty of I love you headbutts and a conversationalist, Zamboni could be your pur-fect match.

More about this rescue

Since 2006, we have operated Plano's first no-kill animal shelter. Our mission is to rescue at-risk cats and dogs from local municipal shelters.

We supply them with needed medical care, food, and shelter. Just as important, we provide all of our cats and dogs with the love and attention they deserve until they are placed into their forever homes. Come visit us and adopt your newest family member today! Everyone deserves a second chance.

Second Chance is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are not affiliated with, nor do we receive any funding from, the SPCA of Texas, ASPCA, or any other humane organization. We do not receive any city, state, or federal funds.

Over the last 10 years, we've rescued over 3,200 dogs and cats who were slated for euthanasia at DFW municipal shelters and placed them with forever families.
