My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woozle is deep in his puppy era and living life with curiosity, clumsy enthusiasm, and the sweetest heart. True to his name, he’s a little bit bouncy, a little bit goofy, and always ready to turn an ordinary moment into an adventure.

Despite his playful puppy energy, Woozle has a heart as soft as Pooh Bear’s love for honey. He’s affectionate, eager to connect, and happiest when he’s close to his people—whether that’s during playtime or a well-earned cuddle break. Woozle is looking for a home ready to embrace the fun, laughter, and learning that come with a growing pup, and one that will help him become the confident, loving companion he’s meant to be. If you’re ready for a little mischief, a lot of love, and a puppy who will steal your heart, Woozle might just be your very own “silly old bear.”

More about this rescue

Love-A-Bull is an outgrowth of the former Austin American Pit Bull Terrier Meetup Group, which was formed in 2003. Since that time, the organizers recognized that the political climate warranted the need for change. As a result, Love-A-Bull achieved 501(c)(3) status in 2008 so that the group could more fully attain its mission and goals.

Love-A-Bull was organized to educate and to advocate on behalf of the American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Staffordshire Terrier, and Bull Terrier (all breeds commonly referred to as “pit bulls”) and pit bull mixes.

The mission of Love-A-Bull is to promote responsible guardianship and improve the image and lives of pit bull type dogs through community support, education, advocacy, and rescue.
