Their adoption process

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Potter League for Animals. Our goal is a loving home and a lasting bond. Need a running buddy? We have her! Need a couch potato? We have him, too! We can help you find the right friend. We connect people and pets based on shared sensibilities, like lifestyle and energy, so every relationship is on a solid foundation. Potter League has a variety of pets available for adoption, including cats, dogs, and small animals like rats, rabbits, hamsters, birds, reptiles, and more. You can view all of our adoptable pets online on our website at www.potterleague.org. We update their availability and location in real-time. They are still available for adoption if you see them, and there is no “on hold” tag. There is no appointment needed to visit our pets. Adoption Fees: Dogs: $315 Puppies (6 months & under):$450 Cats: $150 Kittens (6 months & under): $230 Rabbits: $50 Other Small Animals: $20 to $65 We offer a 10% military (active and veteran) and senior (65+) discount on adoption fees.

More about this shelter

The Potter League for Animals is Rhode Island’s go-to animal care and resource center, where we provide shelter, veterinary care, behavior training, spay & neuter, owner assistance programs, humane education, and the opportunity for thousands of animals to find loving homes each year. The Potter League for Animals (PLFA) is a local, private, non-profit charitable organization dedicated to animal welfare. Every year, the Potter League for Animals provides direct care and services to help nearly 10,000 animals in need through programs in the community and our three facilities across Rhode Island. The Potter League Animal Care and Adoption Center in Middletown, RI accepts owner-surrendered animals and stray animals from the communities with which we have an animal control-housing contract; Newport, Middletown, and Portsmouth.
