My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoe is a 5 month old beagle chihuahua mix (DOB 8/14/25). Zoe joined the rescue along with her mom, Missy (also available for adoption), when their senior owner was no longer able to care for them. Zoe is adorable and sweet as can be! She is on the shy side and will bark at people she doesn't know but warms up very quickly once she is comfortable. Zoe is in a foster home with a dog, cat, guinea pigs and young kids and does well with all. She does enjoy chasing the cat and while it's all in good fun, she might be too much for a shy/timid kitty. Zoe sleeps in a crate overnight and keeps her crate clean. She barked in the early morning her first few nights but now sleeps through the night without a peep. She will sometimes have an "excited pee" when getting leashed up for her first potty break of the day, but is otherwise doing excellent with house training. Zoe enjoys fetch and being outside and will make a great adventure buddy.

Zoe will be spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested and microchipped prior to adoption. We also require all of our puppies to enroll in obedience training with their new family. Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org if you feel you are a good fit for Zoe. Adoption $400.

More about this rescue

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.
