Meet Alley! This brave boy had been hanging around a DC apartment complex for weeks, much too friendly to stay outside. FFGW took him in just before the winter storm and he's been nothing but wonderful since :)
Alley is the sweetest boy ever. The only thing he loves more than snuggling up on your chest or your lap is being held in your arms. He's laid back, relaxed, and is happy just keeping you company. He's also a chatty fellow, quick to follow you around to see what you're doing and talk to you the entire time.
Some of Alley's favorite things include being petted endlessly, staring in awe at the wonders of Cat TV, being brushed, and long naps in his cat tree. He is highly affectionate and loves being around his people.
Alley is Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive, meaning he has a feline-only virus that affects only other cats (but not people or other animals).
He is NOT sick now – simply positive for the virus. Many FeLV+ cats feel perfectly healthy and live happy lives for years! If illness does develop later, it’s due to how FeLV can affect the immune system over time, which can lead to a shorter overall lifespan.
