Pochito was entrusted to us when her guardian had to be hospitalized. This beautiful cat has always lived alongside her mom Chikita, who was adopted. Today, Pochito is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort and serenity.
Pochito is part of our humanitarian adoption program, as she is diabetic and will need a bit of extra attention for her health. Despite this, she is a sweet, grateful, and easy-to-love cat.
With her stunning brown-and-black coat highlighted with touches of orange, Pochito is truly a beauty. She will, however, need some time to adjust to a new environment. Offering her a quiet space, her favorite blanket, and a few toys will help her feel safe. Once she gains confidence, her true personality emerges: tender, delicate, and full of those little “eye kisses” that melt your heart.
Pochito loves treats, especially creamy ones. Reward her gently, and she will return your kindness with affection and moments of tenderness. She enjoys being petted, especially when she feels secure.
Pochito is a sensitive, sweet, and endearing cat who deserves a calm, patient, and loving home. With a bit of time and ple

More about this shelter
Founded in Montreal in 1869, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (now known simply as the Montreal SPCA) was the first animal-welfare organization in Canada. It is not known under whose influence the society was formed, but its history acknowledges assistance from animal-welfare societies in France, England and the United States. In its early years, the SPCA concentrated primarily on improving the treatment of work horses, which were used all across the island of Montreal. The SPCA later began working on additional issues, such as humane dog control, cock-fighting and the killing of wild birds. The SPCA has come a long way since its beginnings: today, it is the largest animal-protection organization in Quebec, speaking on behalf of animals wherever there is ignorance, cruelty, exploitation or neglect.
