My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sardine

Sardine is a sweet young boy who is ready to find his forever home! Born on June 24, 2025, this adorable kitten is full of curiosity and charm. Sardine loves other cats and would thrive in a home with friendly feline companions. We recommend adopting a kitten friend along with Sardine—or welcoming him into a home with other social cats—to help show him the ropes and build the confidence he needs.

Sardine would do well in a home with older children and a patient family who will help him continue to blossom. He is neutered, fully vetted, and ready to leave the shelter behind.

Open Cat Viewing Hours (Walk-Ins Welcome):
• Monday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Same-day adoptions for our feline friends are available with an approved application on file. Apply before you stop by!

If you’re looking for a sweet kitten who will thrive with feline friends and lots of love, Sardine may be the perfect match. Apply today!

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
