Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

All homes with other dogs must have a meet and greet with their prospective adoptee dog.

2.

Submit Application

Applications are not first come first approved. We will select the best possible home for the animals in our care.

3.

Approve Application

Approved applicants must pay fees and pick up animals within 3 days of approval.

4.

Pay Fee

Fees are paid at the shelter.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

No animal may leave our facility without a signed adoption contract.

6.

Take the Pet Home

All animals will be vetted and vaccinated prior to leaving our shelter.

Additional adoption info

Our staff selects adopters that are best for our pets. We do not adopt animals on a first-come first-approved basis. All adoption fees are non-refundable.

Our shelter is located at 597 Hwy 65N in Greenbrier Arkansas. Our shelter pets can be met during our operating hours. Our staff will be happy to introduce you to our shelter pets and our pet of the week.

We also offer sponsored adoptions from time to time as well as hosting adoption events at local businesses in our county.

The Faulkner County Animal Shelter serves unincorporated Faulkner County. Our mission is to protect, care for, and advocate on behalf of animals in need, while promoting humane education, responsible pet ownership, and the preservation of the human-animal bond. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals, reducing overpopulation through spay/neuter programs, and creating a compassionate community where all animals are treated with respect and kindness.
